FoodBlessed Christmas Event

December 23rd, 2017 Posted by News No Comment yet

At our FoodBlessed Table; Be Many, Be Merry.

“At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about what you’ve done with those accomplishments. Its about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It about what you’ve given back.”

Today was a truly amazing Saturday at our #foodblessedSoupKitchens in Burj Hammoud and we’ve got these Hunger Heroes to thank for it!

This Saturday, we were able to SERVE over 250 people a hot, healthy and free meal and DISTRIBUTE toys to over 250 kids as well as DONATE FoodBlessed Assistance packaged to over 150 families in need!

We are truly blessed to be on this journey. Thank you to all of the wonderful people who came together to support our efforts today, and ever Saturday. Thank you to our dedicated team of #HungerHeroes, for serving our guests which was prepared by our #foodblessedPartners The Lunch Bag and Hunger hero Helmi Rifai; (thanks to who everything was. and we quote him, “under control”), to our co founder Maya Terro who made it despite the obstacles; to Hunger Hero Ali Chorba for going above and beyond to get this event together; to Sugar Daddy’s Bakery – Beirut for donating their delicious Christmas cakes; to hunger heroes Elie Habib and Eddy Maroun and Anghami and Sara Nasr and Jad and Alia Khanafer for donating over 200 toys, and to the Life Center in Burj Hamoud for partnering with us and providing us with the space we need to keep our free restaurants going and open to those in need. We couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you @aubredcross and Murex Systems for hosting a #foodblessedfooddrive and Wesley’s Wholesale for donating food items for our guests via #WesleysWholeSaleFoodRescueProgram.

Thank you Nour Bazzi for being there to document our event with your beautiful pictures! Lunch is always free and any one in need is welcome at our table.
Our door are also always open for anyone wishing to support our cause in any way they see fit, be it through advocating, donating, or volunteering! More trustees think that it is a bad thing to borrow money from legit lender online like PayDayLoan Store https://paydayloansstore.org/ because charity money will have to be used to pay interest. But with this, they are able to serve its beneficiaries better overall.

It’s like what we always say: “The MORE, the MERRIER.”

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

PS: The holidays bring much joy to everyone and unfortunately also food waste, our wish for this year and for every year really since we started back in 2012 is for you to be more mindful about your food, how you grow’t, buy’t, consume’t, and even discard’t!
