International Children’s Day

Today is International Children’s Day – a date dedicated to raising awareness about child rights and well being. Hundreds of events are set to take place across the globe to celebrate childhood and get people talking about the issues affecting children at the moment – and how to solve them.

For this occasion, FoodBlessed teamed up with the amazing students of grade 8 and 9 at International Learning Community – ILC to prepare a day full of food (thank you Zaatar W Zeit for the delicious #manakeesh) and fun games, face painting and even story telling and sweet snacks and juice (thank you ILC Students) for 160 underprivileged kids!

We are so proud of these students and we want to extend a huge thank you to them for their great organization and enthusiasm and love! Special thanks to Miss Sara and Mr Ahmad from ILC, the teachers at SPRING OF LIFE school where the event took place, especially Mr Gaby and Louise! And one final thank you goes to Hunger Heroes ALi Maya Terro Nour Barazi and Chritstine for everything in between!

Enjoy these pics. They might not be the best, but we tried to take as much as we could! It’s not that easy when you got 160 kids to look after hihi
