In addition to being a hunger-relief association, FoodBlessed also works on food-rescue!

What we do is that we match businesses that have surplus food with food donees (aka those in need). Here’s how it works: when companies or event planners have surplus food, they contact us and provide details of their donation. One of our hunger heroes is dispatched to quickly pick up the leftovers and deliver them to those in need! This process is called on-demand food recovery.

A couple of weeks ago we got a call from Bushra about an event where a lot of surplus food was laying down in need for rescue! The hunger heroes were there for the rescue and we were able to face and donate all this food to Dar Al-Ajaza al Islamiyyah elderly house!
